Welcome to Prairie Dog Airsoft Supply. An Airsoft supply store created by, run by and supported by players with many years of experience.

The Prairie Dog name comes from the founder's mil-sim days. In the mid 1980's in a small midwestern town, a group of high school and college students sustained a decades long mil-sim game where teams would be formed and last many years. One of the original teams was the Prairie Dogs named for the animal's resillience, resourcefulness and toughness.

In those days, we only dreamed of a technology like airsoft and were just beginning to experiment with paintball. We kept the equipment and tactics as close to the current US Army specifications as possible and spent many hours pouring over Field Manuals and practicing tactics.

The realism raised a few eyebrows in town but soon we developed a reputation for being good kids who were having fun in the field and honing our ability to overcome obstacles both as individuals and as a team.

Be Smart. Be Safe. Protect Yourself And The Sport.

• Always ensure that when handling Airsoft guns, you and all bystanders are equipped with the right protective equipment including eye and face protection.
• Airsoft guns should be handled carefully and treated as if they were the real thing in regards to safety.
• Please follow all laws associated with ownership, transportation, and usage. It is your responsibility to know these laws.
• Never remove or alter the blaze orange colored tip on your Airsoft gun for any reason.
• Always use your Airsoft gun’s safety mechanism and barrel bag or blocker when not in active use.
• Always transport your Airsoft gun in an approved gun case or gun bag.
• Never display your Airsoft gun in public for any reason.
• Know what is considered “Public Space” – your front lawn is considered “Public”
• Never loan your Airsoft gun to anyone for any reason.
• Avoid appearing in public in tactical gear and camo.
• Do not threaten, menace, or intimidate any person with your Airsoft gun. This is a crime and carries the same penalties as doing so with the real thing.
• Never use an Airsoft gun for hunting or self defense.
